Jeffrey Stein 

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 



Jeffrey Stein has more than thirty-five years’ experience in private investigations, security, security consulting, CCTV and loss prevention fields. He is the president / Owner of Private Detective Agency who provides expert witness, consulting, investigative and security services to attorneys, businesses, cannabis industry, and private citizens. Stein has personally conducted over three thousand internal and external integrity and witness interviews during the course of his career in the private sector for both civil and criminal cases. He is a licensed professional investigator in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from West Chester University. He has received advanced training in interviewing and interrogation techniques and attended New Jersey State Police Academy, Municipal Class located in Sea Girt, NJ. Stein is also a Board Certified Criminal Defense Investigator and Board Accredited Investigator.

Stein’s expertise, while specializing in criminal defense / homicide investigations, includes personal injury, inadequate security, liquor liability, corporate fraud, white collar crime, workplace violence, civil investigations, retail loss prevention, asset protection and surveillance systems. In January of 2018 he was inducted into the Vidocq Society. February 2018, he was by the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Continuing Education Instructor for both Private Investigations and Security.

Stein is a former New Jersey 911 operator as well as a New Jersey State Certified Firefighter and Emergence Medical Technician. His current training and certifications includes PA Act 235; Lethal Weapons Training, AVERT (Active Violence Emergency Response Training) / Active Shooter Response Training and SORA instructor for the New Jersey State Police. He has been interviewed and used as a subject matter expert by FoxNew.com, CBS Philly, and is a contributing author for "Advanced Private Investigation", A Manual of Advanced Investigative Skills for the Private Investigator. As their Executive Director, Stein is an active member of Intellenet. He previously held positions of Assistant Executive Director, and Educational  Training Director for the Intellenet Continuous Education Academy. He is also past President and Chairman of the Board for the Pennsylvania Association of Licensed Investigators and was a Radio Show Host on VoiceAmerica.

Jim founded INTELLENET in 1983 and serves as its Executive Director until 2013. He is a retired USAF Lt. Colonel who served 20 years with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) as a Special Agent. In his last position he served as Director of Criminal Investigations. Post retirement employment was as a Security Consultant for two firms prior to establishing his own company. He currently provides security consulting services, security training, expert witness testimony (security cases), and investigative services.

He holds a BA from Colgate University and an MA from the University of Hawaii. He has taught security courses at both Alvernia College (baccalaureate) and St. Joseph’s University (masters level) and has authored many security and investigative articles.

He is a licensed PI in Pennsylvania in 1983 and is an active member of ASIS, AFOSISA, HAPS, NALI, FAPI, CII (among others) and is Past President of the Montgomery County (PA) Private Detectives Association. He was co-founder of the Pennsylvania Association of Licensed Investigators (PALI), serving as Chairman of the Board (1997-2001 and 2008-2011) and President (2003-2007). He is also a member of VIDOCQ, a Lifetime ASIS Member / CPP and served as a member of the ASIS Investigations Council from 1999-2007. He is the recipient of the NCISS Duffy Award, the Buddy Bombet Lifetime Achievement Award, and the VIDOCQ Halbert E. Fillinger Lifetime Achievement Award.

Frank V. DeAndrea, Jr.

Frank V. DeAndrea, Jr., has over 40 years of combined law enforcement, investigations and security consulting experience. As president of DeAndrea Investigations & Security, he provides expert witness, consulting, investigative and security services to attorneys, corporations, businesses, schools, houses of worship, and private citizens.

DeAndrea has written, published, and or drafted policies, procedures and emergency response plans for The Pennsylvania State Police, Intellenet, The Pennsylvania Association of Licensed Investigators, The Vidocq Society, multiple school districts and municipal police departments and community centers across the United States.

Frank is a licensed Private Investigator in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia. He is a member of PALI and the Vidocq Society and a Board Accredited Investigator.

Frank’s expertise, while specializing in police policy and procedures, includes financial exploitation, criminal defense, risk threat and vulnerability assessments and asset protection. He has spoken on Capitol Hill and the State Capitol on matters of security. While in the Pennsylvania State Police he designed the Mobile Office car computer system and License Plate Recognition System building the prototype computer screen in his garage! While the Chief of Police wrote over one hundred policies and procedures and revamped the Police applicant testing procedures to no longer be subjective. As a forensic unit member, he processed several serial rape crime scenes, and this successful prosecution is what allows DNA to be used as evidence in courts in Pennsylvania.

Frank served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer and undercover narcotics investigator.

Frank is a Pennsylvania Municipal Police Firearms, First Aid, CPR and General Knowledge Instructor. PA Act 235, FEMA, CARVER, and Chameleon certified in Threat & Hazard Identification & Risk Assessments for critical infrastructure, as well as being a Florida Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Practitioner.

Frank has been featured in PI Magazine and selected the Pennsylvania Association of Licensed Investigators “Investigator of the Year” sharing this distinction with his partner and Wife, Sandy DeAndrea. He is also a published author, the Intellenet Global Gazette Editor-In-Chief and an international speaker on School Safety, Police Policies and Financial Exploitation of Older Adults.

Nicole Gray has over 24 years of professional experience in investigations, monitoring, forensic accounting and due diligence. Nicole is the principal of Infinity Investigative Solutions, a women owned small business, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. She has been the lead investigating force conducting in depth examinations into individuals, corporations, industries, and organizations. Her unique skills associated with the latest in technology, financial expertise and investigative experience have ensured success to numerous clients in both the public and the private sector.

Nicole is also principal of Gray Matter Consulting, a full-service grant writing and grants management firm and an Adjunct Professor of Forensic Accounting and White Collar Crime at Champlain College. She frequently lectures on conducting investigative interviews, internal investigations, OSINT, the investigative process and preventing/deterring waste, fraud, and abuse.

Nicole is active in many national and state industry associations and also volunteers as the Popcorn Czarina for BSA Colonial District. She and her husband, Keith live in Alexandria, Virginia and have two children.
